Reviews for There She Goes
"There She Goes is a heart-rending, bittersweet and extraordinary honest comedy-drama ... The love poured into this show is clear in every moment" Times
"...manages to spin its heartbreaking subject matter into something not just moving, but mordantly, outrageously funny" Guardian
"This sucker-punching sitcom nails the experience of raising a child with learning disabilities. Five stars" Telegraph
"There She Goes is utterly original. Five stars" Mail
"Remarkable television - breathtakingly honest" Washington Post
"Miley Locke’s Rosie is fantastically realistic and, while David Tennant shines as Simon, Jessica Hynes’ depiction of a mother almost driven to a psychotic episode feels Bafta-worthy. Why this series wasn’t handed a primetime spot in the BBC schedules is anyone’s guess." Broadcast's Shows of 2018
"One of the best pieces of television I've ever seen" Jane Garvey Radio 4
"...the result is sometimes very uncomfortable, and sometimes it is very, very funny, and sometimes simultaneously both, like a new dimension in TV has been inadvertently discovered" Independent
"Although billed as a comedy-drama, the laughs are rather deftly concealed amid the tough, very affecting subject matter and performances" Guardian
"There She Goes is funnier than it has any right to be ... manages to tackle an immensely demanding subject with heart, humanity and, most importantly, humour" Digital Spy
“Almost defies description - it is utterly unsentimental, yet you feel overwhelmed with emotion. A remarkable feat” Times
“The performances are fantastic, and the loneliness and sense of desperation are palpable as they seek to outwit their nine-year-old daughter” Sunday Times
“The worry and rage and fear feel wholly authentic - but so, too, are the moments of joy and hope and, above all, love. It is beautiful and uplifting to behold” Radio Times
“A triumph, itch-lousy with one-liners, heartache, bathos, curses and much spilt milk, as far from mawkish as, say, David Seders is from thelanguage of Hallmark cards” Observer
“At times it’s more raw than the toughest tragedy, albeit punctured with outbreaks of sometimes coarse, dark humour, and a sharp wit … complemented by superlative performances from David Tennant, Jessica Hynes and, most of all, Miley Locke” Independent
“Hynes is a revelation” Times
“The highlight of my week is currently There She Goes … this week’s third episode was laugh-out-loud funny, as well as brilliantly touching. Five Stars” Sunday Mail
